FREE BOSH for Safety Officer 1 training in the TRANSPORTATION SECTOR
In the Celebration of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, the Occupational Safety and Health Center Regional Extension Unit III, in partnership with DOLE Clark Satellite Office, conducted a FREE BOSH for Safety Officer 1 training in the TRANSPORTATION SECTOR held on April 27-28, 2021.
The 9th batch which is composed of Company Owners/Management, Company Drivers, Trucking operators, Shuttle Bus and Jeepney drivers inside the Clark Freeport Zone, benefitted from the said training. The industry-based training also included a special topic on Defensive Driving Safety, and the DOLE Department Order 224-21 or the Guidelines on the Ventilation for Workplaces and Public Transport to Prevent and Control the Spread of COVID-19 which is a pressing concern nowadays.
Mr. Jose Roberto Navata, the Chief of DOLE Clark, gave an Opening Remarks to welcome our future Safety Officers. A total of 49 successful graduates, from 19 different companies, actively participated in the said training.
The BOSH for SO1 training is a mandatory training of the Department of Labor and Employment. The training is open to all aspiring Safety Officer of companies with employees 50 workers and below, and to all Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.
Registration for BOSH SO1 training for the month of May is already closed. We will be opening FRESH Batches for the month of June soon.
