Hotel Del Rio, Molo, Iloilo City  – the Occupational Safety and Health Center Regional Extension Unit V (OSHC-REU VI)  conducted an occupational safety and health (OSH) orientation for contractors, repair shop owners and safety officers during the Department of Trade and Industry- Iloilo’ seminar entitled “Strengthening of the Advocacy on Service and Repair Shop Accreditation and PCAB Licensing and Registration.” The seminar was held today, July 30, 2020.

OSHC REU VI Focal Melveen Melocoton, discussed the key points on maintaining safety and health in the workplace despite the COVID-19 pandemic. The participants were informed of the OSH Standards and health protocols on COVID-19 prevention and control.

Melocoton also discussed the programs and services of the OSHC in assisting and guiding companies towards strengthening their OSH policies and programs during the pandemic and the mandatory OSH training for safety officers which are being held in Region VI to help the establishments comply with the requirements of RA 11058 and DOLE Do 198-18.
