Generators can come in handy during power outages after typhoons that ravaged the Bicol region. However, if you do not know how to use them properly, they can be dangerous. OSHC REU 5 has the following tips to use generators safely:
- Read and follow manufacturer’s instructions.
- Keep it dry and avoid exposure to weather.
- Setup and run the generator in a well-ventilated space.
- Do not fuel a generator while operating.
- Avoid overloading your generator which can cause fires.
