A total of 1, 917 new safety officer from 435 different government agencies benefitted from the 21 batches of online 40-hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training for the Public Sector this year.
Under the DOH-CSC-DOLE Joint Memorandum Circular No. 1, s. 2020, all government agencies, state universities and colleges, local government units, and government-owned and controlled corporations are required to comply with the provisions of this issuance. The aim is to protect all government employees from dangers of injury, sickness, or death in the workplace through the adoption of safe and healthy working conditions to ensure the preservation of human lives and resources and prevent loss or damage of properties.
All OSHC training is conducted online in compliance with the minimum public health standards during this time of the pandemic.
