“We are offering two free on-line training on Managing Emerging Health Issues in the Workplace for human resource personnel, program managers, and members of their companies’ respective safety and health committees. This training aims to address the various health issues that might be present in workplaces that may affect productivity. During this time of pandemic we must do all necessary measures to ensure the safety and health or workers and sustain productivity to keep enterprises afloat,” said Occupational Safety and Health Center Executive Director Noel C. Binag, CE.

The trainings are scheduled on February 22 to March 8, 2021 and March 15-29, 2021. Participants will be provided with access to modules and assessment exams through Google Classroom which they must undertake in between the scheduled Zoom sessions.

This self-paced, advanced training aims to discuss health issues which are acknowledged as major threats to the health and well-being of workers and to enterprise performance. The modules and discussions feature are focused on substance abuse (alcohol, tobacco/cigarette smoking, and drugs), health-related DOLE issuances (Tuberculosis, HIV and AIDS, Hepatitis B), healthy lifestyle, mental health in the workplace, and updates on Covid-19. The training is also designed to prepare the participants in formulating and developing health promotion policies and appropriate workplace programs to ensure the well-being of workers.

Pre-requisite to the training is completion of the 40-hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH)/Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) Training.

Interested parties must upload .pdf/.jpg files of their government issued ID (front and back), company ID (front and back), a 2”x2” ID photo with white background taken within the last six months, and a soft copy of their BOSH/COSH certificate through this link: http://bit.ly/hcdregform.

Those who will be accepted in the training must have a working Google e-mail address and a laptop or desktop computer equipped with webcam and microphone and installed with Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Meet, and Zoom.
