“With the Covid-19 pandemic, workers are so much more in need of information on how to protect themselves and their workplaces from both diseases and accidents. We have been working to migrate our training programs on-line (BOSH) Training for safety officers level 1 (SO1s),” said Occupational Safety and Health Center Executive Director Noel C. Binag, CE.
OSHC will be conducting 24 batches of free BOSH Training for SO1s from financially distressed small and micro enterprises. The first batch will be held on June 29-30, 2020
Interested participants will be screened during the pre-registration process which may be accessed through this link: https://tinyurl.com/OnlineBOSHforSO1Pre-Reg . A Google account is required to register.
Participants are also required to use a laptop or desktop computer equipped with an internal or external webcam and microphone. Mobile devices such as phones or tablets will not be allowed. The computers to be used must have MS Word, MS Powerpoint, Pages, Keynote or other word processing and presentation viewing programs, as well as the latest version of Google Chrome installed. A stable internet connection with a minimum speed of 3G and 10 GB of data allowance per day.
From June to December 2020, the OSHC will also be conducting eight batches of free BOSH for SO2 training for safety officers of government agencies.
