“Construction is a highly hazardous industry and we aim to provide workers with knowledge on how to avoid accidents and illnesses while they work, especially in this time of pandemic. We are inviting safety officers with a background in engineering and crane inspectors from small-scale construction companies to join our free online training on crane inspection and rigging safety,” said Occupational Safety and Health Center Executive Director Noel C. Binag, CE.

This advanced two-day training will be held on May 21 and 28. It features lectures and discussions on the evaluation and safety inspection of cranes and its implements. This aims to help facilitate compliance to the requirement for third party inspection of construction heavy equipment under the DOLE Department Order No. 13-1998.

Pre-requisite to the training is completion of the 40-hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health Construction Safety and Health (COSH) Training. Interested parties will be screened through this registration link: https://zoom.us/…/tJYkde-vpjsoHtGywxvfakjPIZ9iDG-WO9f

Those who will be accepted in the training must have a laptop or desktop with an internal/external webcam and microphone installed with Spreadsheet and presentation viewing/editing program such as MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Numbers, Keynote, and others and a stable internet connection with a speed of at least 1Mbps.
