The Occupational Safety and Health Center retained its certification for the International Organization for Standardization conducted virtually by TUV Rheinland Philippines, Inc. headed by Ms. Jogina Mendiola.

“We are very pleased with the result of the audit, and I would like to commend the OSHC staff for ensuring that our services are being carried out efficiently with the utmost quality even during this difficult time,” said Executive Director Noel C. Binag, CE, MPA.

In the closing audit, the audit team revealed zero non-conformity but identified 3 opportunities for improvement or OFIs.

The OSHC was cited for positive findings such as the trending increase of the OSHC OPCR rating from 2018 to 2020, 100% compliance to the postings in the transparency seal, being awarded as FOI Rising Star during the 5th Annual FOI Summit and Awards, enhancement of Information Dissemination through IEC Materials Development and Distribution, the unqualified/ unmodified opinion rendered to OSHC by the COA Auditors for 2020, acquisition of new high-temperature oven, ICT infrastructure improvements, and awarding of Certificate of Authority to Operate Chemical Laboratory for the Work Environment Measurement Laboratory by the Professional Regulatory Commission.
