“The OSHC is continuously developing modules to provide occupational safety and health trainings via the on-line platform and the on-line Drug Assessment Team Training, we aim to train more teams to do drug assessments in their own workplaces,” said Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) Executive Director Noel C. Binag, CE.

The OSHC will be conducting a free on-line Drug Assessment Team Training for a Drug Free Workplace on July 5, 2021. The said training will begin with a two to three-hour Zoom session. Participants will be provided with access to modules and assessment exams through Google Classroom which they must undertake in between the two other Zoom sessions scheduled on July 9 and 16.

The training is designed to help companies comply with the requirements under the DOLE Department Order 53-03: Guidelines for the Implementation of Drug-Free Workplace Policies and Programs. Under DO 53-03 establishments must form assessment teams to handle drug-related policies and programs implemented by the company.

Pre-requisite to the training is completion of the free on-line Appreciation Course for a Drug-Free Workplace which is also being provided by OSHC and any of the following 40-hour mandatory OSH Trainings: Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH), Construction Occupational Safety and Health Training, Basic Course on Occupational Medicine, BOSH Training for Nurses. Interested parties must register and submit their certificates of the abovementioned training/s as well as must send jpeg/.jpg files of their government issued ID (front and back), and a 2”x2” ID photo with white background taken within the last six months through this link: bit.ly/hcdregform.

Those who will be accepted in the training must have a working Google e-mail address and a laptop or desktop computer equipped with webcam and microphone and installed with Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Slides, and Zoom.
