The Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC), an attached agency of the Department of Labor and Employment, together with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) will be holding a free webinar under the series “Employers and Workers in the Time of COVID-19”. The webinar will take place on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 2:00 in the afternoon.

Mr. Tsuyoshi Kawakami, occupational safety and health senior specialist of the ILO will be presenting the necessary preparations on how to return to work under a risk-controlled scenario.

There will be discussions from tripartite constituents to be lead by DOLE OIC-Assistant Secretary Ma. Teresita S. Cucueco, MD, CESO III, OSHC Executive Director Noel C. Binag, CE, and worker representatives Mr. Julius Cainglet of the Federation for Free Workers and Ms. Susanita Tessiorna of the Alliance of Workers in the Informal Economy/Sector. The discussion will focus on the return to work scenario during this pandemic crisis.

An open forum will follow after the discussions. Companies and enterprises are invited to participate including local government representatives, trade union, and workers associations.
